What WRAS approval means
WRAS approval is specific to plumbing products or materials and their conditions. It is not a general certification of a leak detection business. We select suitable water-supply fittings for the application rather than relying on a brand name alone.
The relevant product listing and installation requirements matter. Heating components and other materials must also suit the system they serve; a water-supply approval should not be used as a blanket claim about every item in a toolkit.
Check the official WRAS approvals directoryBefore you agree the work
Ask about the qualifications and insurance relevant to your instruction before booking. Relevant qualification and insurance information can be discussed when arranging the job. We do not substitute an equipment list for the practical competence needed to investigate and repair pipework.
Tasks requiring a specific separate qualification or registration must be matched to an appropriately competent professional. Gas-appliance work, for example, requires the appropriate Gas Safe registration.
Careful access and installation
Detection findings guide the proposed opening. We explain why access is required and the implications for the surrounding finish. The plumbing repair then uses suitable connection methods and materials for the existing installation.
An older system may contain different pipe materials or earlier repairs. These details need to be considered when selecting components, rather than treating every leak as the same replacement joint.
Testing that completes the repair
Appropriate checks are carried out after the plumbing repair. Their purpose is to assess the relevant section and work performed under suitable conditions. We explain the outcome and record relevant findings in the job documentation.
No repair can certify every unrelated component in an existing building. If a separate issue is identified, it should be explained and scoped on its own merits.
One-year workmanship warranty
All work we carry out under the agreed package has a one-year workmanship warranty. It covers our workmanship and should be read with the written terms provided for the job. Keep your report and invoice so the work and date are easy to identify.
If you suspect a problem with our work, raise it promptly for assessment. The warranty is not a policy insuring the entire existing installation, and it does not bring excluded reinstatement or unrelated faults into the original scope.
